For our Client a financial services company, we are looking for the Controlling Senior Manager , responsible for overseeing the company's cost management and budgeting processes. This role ensures accurate budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting to drive effective decision-making and optimize the company's resources. The Controlling Senior Manager will monitor, analyze, and report on financial performance against budgets while recommending strategies to meet financial objectives.
Key responsibilities
Controlling :
- Comprehensive management of the financial controlling processes
- Enhancement of existing controlling processes and procedures, including efficiency, profitability and cost analysis, among others
Budgeting
Preparing and managing the company’s annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goalsMonitor budgetary adherence, identify and propose corrective measures when necessary,Financial reporting
Manage external reporting requirements to shareholders and co-investors, and support reporting to regulatory bodies (e.g. KNF), and other key stakeholdersFurther develop and enhance reporting processes, with emphasis on quality, efficiency and timely performance of these processesOther activities :
Be both a partner and a challenger for business in the analysis of efficiency and profitability of business lines, activities and processSupport other financial processes with knowledge, experience and relevant data, including accounting, audit, financial compliance, treasury and taxesTeam Leadership and Development :
Lead and manage the controlling team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.Provide guidance and deliver training to staff on controlling processes and best practices.Determine and implement performance goals and oversee evaluations to ensure high standards of controlling operations.Corporate Role :
Participate in corporate decisions as a member of the leadership team, providing insights and recommendationsMaintain relationships with shareholders, co-investors, auditors and other key stakeholdersEnsure transparent communication and cooperation with other units of the companyQualifications and Requirements :
Minimum of 7+ years of controlling management experience, with at least 3 years in a management roleBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA, Finance) or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) would be an advantageProven ability to manage budgeting, reporting, and compliance processes in a dynamic business environmentIn-depth knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of controllingStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with experience in managing and developing teamsHigh integrity and dependability with a results-oriented mindset and a proactive approachKey Competencies :
