Description of the function
We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant Lead, with solid communication, team coordination and analytical skills to join the Euroclear Financial Division in our Group Accounting Services (GAS) department. We’re looking for motivated and well organized professional who sees opportunities instead of challenges.
The role
- Perform general accounting activities and control, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements
- Manage general accounting and cut-off activities in complex international environment
- Perform month-end analytical reviews of the accounts, explain fluctuations to key stakeholders (cost accounting analysis) in clear and concise way
- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls
- Supervise the quality of the files and evaluate working methods
- Coordinate assigned team members activities
- Identify areas for process improvement and take action to make it a success
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounting journal entries
- Ensure ownership and timely preparation of the monthly Balance Sheet Review
- Mid-Year and Year-end Audit coordinate with team members and handle auditors' requests
