Mid / Senior Java Developer

As a Backend Developer, you will be part of a transformative initiative delivering a modern Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform . The project focuses on building scalable, high-quality backend systems that meet business objectives and user needs. Developed using a Cloud Native approach on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), the solution leverages cutting-edge cloud technologies to power digital banking services across diverse markets.

Your responsibilites :

Design, implement, and maintain scalable microservices in Java / Spring ecosystem,

Develop and expose RESTful APIs and integrate with cloud services,

Collaborate in code reviews, architecture discussions & support onboarding of junior devs,

Debug, optimize performance, and fix production issues,

Engage actively in agile processes and work closely with cross-functional teams.

Our requirements :

5+ years of commercial Java development experience,

Expertise in Spring Boot , Hibernate , Maven , REST APIs, microservices ,

Solid SQL skills and experience with Git ,

Familiarity with message queuing systems ( Kafka , Pub / Sub),

Understanding of cloud platforms (GCP preferred, or AWS / Azure),

Good English speaking and writing skills - minimum B1 / B2 level.

Nice to have :

Experience with BPMN and workflow engines (e.g., Camunda),

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes),

Knowledge of CI / CD tools and practices,

Experience with distributed tracing, monitoring, and observability tools,

Background in performance tuning and production incident handling,

Involvement in mentoring, code reviews, and technical leadership.
