Your responsibilities

Platform & Product Development

  • Design, build, and maintain Mobile Apps (Android / iPhone) using Flutter to support Wud's digital experiences (e.g., e-commerce, scent exploration tools, scent databases).
  • Implement secure APIs and backend systems in NodeJS to facilitate mobile app development, including API design, Database design and software architecture.
  • Support the integration of third-party platforms (e.g., Shopify, CRM systems, Payment systems, lab software).

    • Data & Research Enablement

  • Build Cloud infrastructure to support our growing research initiatives, especially around scent profiling, biodiversity, and ingredient traceability.
  • Enable structured data capture and visualization tools to document formulation performance, test results, and field insights from global exploration.
  • Assist in the development of an internal scent and wood material archive or library.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the formulation, innovation, and creative teams to co-develop digital tools that reflect Wud’s product philosophy and user experience standards.
  • Coordinate with external partners (academia, labs, NGOs) to share data securely and meaningfully.
  • Translate scientific, creative, and operational goals into elegant software solutions.

    • Our requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a full-stack developer with strong proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies (e.g., Flutter for Mobile App development, React for Web Development, Node.js).
  • Experience with databases (SQL, MongoDB) and cloud services (e.g., Google Cloud, Firebase).
  • A passion for translating real-world complexity into streamlined, functional tools.
  • Experience with or interest in early-stage startups, especially those focused on sustainability or wellness.
  • Familiarity with scientific or lab environments, R&D workflows, or data visualization tools is a big plus.

  • A love of nature, hiking, or olfactory exploration.
  • Prior work in scent-tech, wellness, or sustainability.
