EU Trade Compliance & Export Specialist

Twój zakres obowiązków

  • Regulatory Compliance :
  • Ensure compliance with EU and global trade laws, including the EU Dual-Use Regulation.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and sanctions from the European Commission and other relevant bodies; communicate changes to internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding EU export controls and customs compliance.
  • Export Control & Licensing
  • Classify products accurately under the EU Dual-Use Regulation, HTS codes, and ECCN schemes.
  • Validate license requirements and manage license determinations, exceptions, and applications for dual-use items and controlled technologies.
  • Ensure records are maintained per EU export control regulations.
  • Sanctions Screening & Risk Management
  • Conduct denied party screening (DPL) and monitor embargoes, sanctions, and restricted party lists relevant to EU business activities.
  • Identify and assess trade compliance risks, including ESG-related transportation risks (e.g., carbon emissions under CBAM).
  • Systems & Data Management
  • Maintain product and classification master data in ERP systems, ensuring accuracy for HTS, ECCN, and export status.
  • Support automation and digitalization efforts for trade compliance processes.
  • Internal Collaboration
  • Work cross-functionally with Legal, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics teams to embed compliance standards in daily operations.
  • Support new business implementations and provide compliance input for EU-based projects.
  • Audits, Investigations & Training
  • Assist in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and investigations of potential non-compliance.
  • Design and deliver training programs on EU export controls, customs compliance
  • Reporting & Declarations
  • Prepare customs and export declarations where applicable.
  • Ensure timely reporting and documentation to meet legal and operational standards.

Nasze wymagania

Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, Supply Chain, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in the EU region.

Strong understanding of EU customs, export controls, and dual-use regulations.

Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems

Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strong communication skills.

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Fluency in English; additional EU languages are a plus.
