At Smith+Nephew we are looking for : IT Solution Architect, SAP SD
SAP is a major strategic platform at Smith & Nephew. The company has one global instance with a Core model deployed in the major markets (US, Canada, Europe, Australia) and 3 manufacturing instances (US, Europe, China, Malaysia). The solution footprint covers Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report and Manufacturing.
The SAP Order Management (SD) Solution Architect will partner with related Business Process Owners or Super Users to ensure the design and deployment of a quality solution that meets the business needs. The position requires strong SAP knowledge, a good understanding of complex business processes in large multi-nationals and a proven experience in large and complex SAP multi-national implementations.
What will you be doing?
- Design the technical solution that will deliver both the desired business outcome and alignment with architecture published by Enterprise Architecture function
- Meet quality requirements, technical constraints, and performance requirements
- Oversee the quality of output arising from solution build and are responsible for acceptance of the technical integrity and architectural compliance of the solution
- Develop and document SAP architectures and solutions, including integration strategies and system landscapes. Solution oversight across projects and enhancements. Working with development teams and project managers to ensure successful SAP implementations and upgrades, with strong participation in the impact assessment, scoping and design phases.
- Perform L3 support for live countries
- Ensure solution consistency and assists in facilitating the change leadership interventions within functional area and contributes to the Design Authority process by assessing impact of the new requests on the core solution
- Focus on continuous improvement, keeping up with industry and proactively advising the business of new capabilities that can help them support the company growth and strategy
What will you need to be successful?
A bachelor’s degree in business administration or IT management (master’s preferred), along with SAP and ITIL certifications7+ years of SAP experience in an international environment, with deep functional and technical expertise in SAP SD and related modules (MM, LE, EDI), including intercompany processes, consignment, and pricing integrationsProven experience in full-cycle ERP implementations across multiple countries, ideally in a regulated or life sciences industryStrong understanding of SAP ECC6 EHP-7 or later; S / 4HANA experience is a plus, as is knowledge of ABAP debuggingAbility to govern cross-functional solutions, manage end-to-end processes, and work independently while providing guidance to other team membersEffective communicator with experience in managing virtual, globally distributed teams and maintaining vendor relationshipsFluent in English, with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset and the ability to take full ownership of SAP SD solutionsYou.
