Senior Data Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our EMEA data Operation and Strategy team in Poland.

The ideal candidate should have expertise in on-prem and Cloud technologies such as Azure, with a particular focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).nbsp;

• Key responsibilities : nbsp;
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for various data integration and migration projects.nbsp;
• Migrate existing on-prem databases and datasets to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring data integrity and security.nbsp;
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.nbsp;
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to improve performance and efficiency.nbsp;
• Implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and data security.nbsp;
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure smooth operation and timely resolution of issues.nbsp;
• Stay updated with the latest developments in data engineering and cloud technologies and apply them to improve existing systems.nbsp;
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other data engineers and team members.nbsp;
• Report to EMEA Head of Data Operation amp; Strategy.nbsp;

Kogo poszukujemy?

Key competencies : nbsp;

Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).nbsp;

Proficient in programming languages such as Python.nbsp;

Strong experience with data pipeline tools such as Google Dataflow.nbsp;

Expertise in database technologies including SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing solutions like BigQuery.nbsp;

Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.nbsp;

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.nbsp;

Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and data lakes.nbsp;

Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.nbsp;

Excellent communication (verbal and written) skillset in English.nbsp;

You have experience within database management, data modelling, programming languages (SQL and Python), ETL tools, data warehousing and cloud platforms.nbsp;

You have experience in building data pipelines and integrating with data sources and are continually bringing forward ways to improve data quality and governance.
