As AML & Fraud Investigator, you will work as part of a team responsible for the detection and prevention of Financial Crime through the investigation of high risk or suspicious activity, fraud referrals or monitoring of patterns and trends. You will play a key role in the Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Terrorism Financing regime within Ikano Bank Poland, executing the firm’s Anti Money Laundering and Fraud prevention activities across the Polish branch.
Your responsibilities
- Undertake AML / KYC and Financial Crime activities in line with documented processes. Escalate cases for approval where necessary supported with a clear recommendation and justification.
- Use investigatory and decision-making skills to review card and loan applications, identifying suspicious activity and investigating existing account monitoring reports to detect Financial Crime.
- Review and timely completion of all Financial Crime related transaction monitoring alerts, investigating into any irregularities, formulating any internal or external reports as necessary.
- Investigate internal Suspicious Activity Reports, ensuring that all reports are accurately logged and escalated to the MLRO / Deputy MLRO when required.
- Respond to orders or warrants presented by investigators and to determine any additional investigation, action and notification to the local authorities.
- Evaluate, defend and monitor chargebacks from suspected fraudulent transactions.
- Act as a central point of contact on Financial Crime, AML or KYC issues for all co-workers, official investigating agencies and victims of financial crime.
- Maintain an up-to-date awareness of current statutory and regulatory AML and Financial Crime obligations, current compliance best practice and relevant future developments through attendance at training courses, seminars and other events organised by appropriate professional bodies and trade associations.
- Participate in team meetings ensuring personal and team objectives are achieved and fraud losses are minimised.

Essential : Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience in relevant field.
