Principal Engineer – Web Application Security

Location :  Kraków (prefered) or Warsaw

Work model :  Hybrid (6 days per month onsite)

Rate :  200–230 PLN / h B2B

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Web Application Security Engineer to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining advanced Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions. This role is crucial in designing, testing, and implementing security policies for web applications and APIs.

• Proven experience with WAF solutions (preferred : Akamai, F5, AWS, GCP)
• Strong skills in log analysis and anomaly detection
• Familiarity with tools like Splunk, Wireshark
• Background in SOC or CSIRT environments
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams
• Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Python, Terraform, JIRA automation) is a plus
