The role of a Regional Payroll Specialist is crucial for ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time, in full compliance with legal and internal policies. This position safeguards the company’s compliance with labor laws and financial regulations while also supporting audit readiness and internal controls.
Additionally, the Regional Payroll Specialist plays a key role in maintaining vendor relationships, improving payroll processes, and serving as a reliable point of contact for employee inquiries.
What will you do?
- Act as a Regional Payroll Process Owner, overseeing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple EU countries.
- Complete payroll functions within agreed deadlines and in full compliance with company policies, work-time regulations and labor laws.
- Review payroll calculations ( earnings, deductions, taxes, ER cost) for accuracy and completeness before sending for final approval and payroll funding.
- Prepare GL files for Finance Team.
- Cover for team members in back-up role.
- Maintain the relationship with vendors involved.
- Manage daily operations and drive implementation of changes resulted from legal requirements, corporate directives, business needs and or improvement opportunities.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections and requests.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for specific country.
- Handle employee queries and other incoming questions.
- Other duties as assigned.
