Responsibilities : General
- Ensure timely and accurate data delivery for posting of GL files to SAP accounting system
- Reconcile GL accounts to payroll records and payments and resolve any discrepancies
- Support banking process by close cooperation with Global Treasury team
- Act as liaison between Payroll team and Local Finance teams to ensure paycodes are appropriately mapped to GL accounts and assist in solving GL posting errors
- Maintain expertise through the study of existing, new, and pending legislation
- Assist in accrual calculations and recording
- Function as expert / trainer for payroll team, ensuring understanding of how payroll data and payroll system configuration impacts accounting records
- Prepare manual GL files, when necessary, and ensure proper documentation is stored for audit purposes
- Maintain GL account mapping in Workday
Audit / Compliance
Perform monthly / quarterly control tasks in conjunction with internal requirementsMaintain compliance with company policy, GAAP, internal controls, SOX and local legal requirementsFacilities audit requests by providing appropriate and requested documentation and filesTesting
Partner with accounting, payroll, and vendor teams to ensure complete and timely data exchange between systemsMonitor and own payment process (net and statutory payments) including set up and testing new bank accounts and other payment solutionsMonitor new paycode / GL account setup to ensure appropriatenessLead project team through GL integration testing if / when the process is automatedIntegrations
Receive and monitor integration error logs related to GL reportingLiaise with payroll and accounting teams to resolve errorsWhat You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications) :
Bachelor’s degreeMinimum 2 years of experience in accounting or payroll with a preference to those candidates who have a background in payroll accountingExperience documenting processes is requiredAbility to work with end users to explain processes and provide guidanceAbility to work independently and use analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issuesWhat will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) :
Experience with both Workday and SAP strongly preferredMust have strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written)Must be able to work independently, make sound business decisions based on fact and law, and exude confidence with customersExpert knowledge of Microsoft excelStrong analytic and diagnostic skills as well as a data-driven and metrics-driven approachAccuracy and thoroughness while meeting customer needs in timely mannerAbility to refine processes based on best practicesAbility to work across cultures and across diverse management stylesAdditional Information :
