The Role :
The Commercial Finance Manager supports the Global commercial team in developing financial models and pricing strategies that enable business growth. This role is ideal for and experienced manager with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset, looking to grow within a dynamic commercial finance environment.
This role reports to Senior Manager Commercial Finance
What you'll be doing :
- Develop and review commercial models for bids and proposals, incorporating pricing, operational inputs, legal terms, and negotiation strategies.
- Ensure commercial governance through structured bid and opportunity reviews.
- Identify and communicate commercial risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Conduct post-contract reviews to assess performance against initial models and support contract optimization.
- Maintain and enhance commercial data and benchmarks to improve modeling accuracy.
- Collaborate with legal and operations teams to ensure contracts reflect agreed commercial terms.
- Support pricing revisions and scope changes for existing clients to maximize financial contribution.
- Provide input for internal reporting on commercial negotiations and performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies across the business.
Client Focus :
Provide support to sales teams during commercial negotiations by preparing and updating flexible pricing models in real time, ensuring alignment with client requirements and internal guidelines.Undertake post contract lifetime reviews on clients to analyze performance of contract against initial models to identify potential operational issues or potential changes in scope which may require further negotiation to help achieve contract optimization.Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Develop close relationships with sales and business heads to ensure commercial function is an integral part of all aspects of sales and operations.Work with finance team to ensure commercial models are developed with consideration of all financial and accounting aspects, and to ensure commercials for new wins are properly handed over to the relevant Finance Manager for forecasting and budgetary purposes.Talent Development & Engagement :

Supports efforts to improve internal processes by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements that promote scalability. Assists in implementing changes with minimal disruption, contributing to improved team productivity and client outcomes.Must have criteria :
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or in a related fieldAdvanced knowledge of Excel and reporting skillsAnalytical – able to translate business problems into meaningful analysisExcellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-makingA commercial mindset to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.Nice to have criteria :
Previous experience of financial modellingExperience of working alongside and offering support for sales functionUnderstands commercial contracts, proficient in typical RPO / BPO commercial models and able to interpret key commercial clauses.Why AMS?
