The Metadata Extract team at Box drives critical innovation in intelligent content processing using cutting-edge Agentic AI technologies . We develop proprietary systems leveraging OCR and LLMs to deeply understand documents and extract key information at scale - enhancing productivity and automating workflows. Our work powers essential features across Box by turning unstructured content into structured data.

In this role, you’ll work alongside a passionate and experienced team of Machine Learning Engineers to design and deliver intelligent systems that meet the highest standards of availability, scalability, security, and compliance. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI at Box, building robust pipelines and infrastructure that bring cutting-edge research into production at enterprise scale .

What You’ll Do

• Play a key role in designing and developing services for intelligent content processing and metadata extraction
• Implement new services and use cases while phasing out the old ones
• Implement inter-service communication using APIs and Pub / Sub messaging systems.
• Maintain system health through monitoring, observability, logging, and metrics collection
• Scale services to meet enterprise-grade quality standards for performance, reliability, and availability
• Work closely with Machine Learning Engineers
• Participate in our on-call rotation, available at all times while on-call to help respond to and triage any issues that arise.
