Role Overview

As a Data Scientist supporting PMI’s Consumer Segmentation Team, you will play a pivotal role in developing scalable, modular, and activation-ready segmentation systems. You will apply advanced statistical, machine learning, and causal inference techniques to generate actionable insights that drive personalized consumer engagement across global markets.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Experience with PySpark, Snowflake, Docker, and AWS services.
  • Familiarity with causal inference and model evaluation techniques.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into business value.
  • Experience working with remote teams and agile methodologies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI) applications.
  • Familiarity with NLP techniques and tools for text-based segmentation or personalization.

  • Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end analytics projects : from business requirement gathering to model deployment and insight generation.
  • Apply uplift modeling, causal inference, and real-time data pipelines to enhance segmentation capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and activate segmentation outputs.
  • Ensure seamless integration of segmentation models with omnichannel tools and platforms.
  • Promote experimentation-first culture through embedded testing and learning frameworks.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical AI standards and regulatory frameworks.
