As an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager in Projects at Siemens Energy, your day will be diverse and impactful. You will be at the forefront of ensuring flawless EHS compliance throughout all phases of offshore project planning, pre-assembly, installation, and commissioning. From coordinating with EHS Advisors to conducting on-site inspections, your role is pivotal in promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Coordinate the work scope of EHS Advisors designated to the project, instructing them in monitoring, inspection, and follow-up methods.
- Ensure all vital EHS project documentation is prepared in compliance with internal, client, and statutory requirements.
- Verify that the immediate safety of all project personnel is fully acquired, with the authority to cease operations if necessary to avoid unsafe conditions.
- Plan your work to ensure physical coverage of the project at all times, including frequent on-site visits and inspections.
- Act as the Project Manager’s counselor on EHS matters, communicating critical EHS issues to the EHS line management back office.
- Implement the Project EHS Plan, driving continuous improvement in all aspects of the project’s on- and offshore work scope.
What You Bring
Several years of experience as EHS advisor / manager.Degree in electrical engineering with health and safety certification (preferred).Proven knowledge of international, local / national EHS regulations, and EHS compliance obligations.Experience working abroad in a multicultural environment, preferably within renewables, electricity distribution, or a similar heavily regulated industry.Confidence in public speaking and a passion for the flexibility and challenges of the role.Flexibility and willingness to travel (on-site) with a full driver’s license.Proficiency in English both orally and in writing.Need good fitness for climbing and supervising wind turbine teams, and promoting safety at work.Solid understanding of the MS Office package and a sound understanding of local legislative EHS requirements.
