Overview

We are looking for a Sales / Key Account professional to strengthen relationships with the Special Pet Trade segment in Hungary, manage customer segmentation and POS classification, and translate insights into targeted actions. You will work closely with marketing on local campaigns and product launches, monitor market trends, and provide regular reports and insights to management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive customer segmentation and point-of-sale classification (Special Pet Trade) and translate insights into targeted actions
  • Ensure professional use of CRM systems for customer data management, pipeline tracking, and reporting
  • Expand and manage cooperation with Special Pet Trade stores and relevant organizations, including breeders and specialist networks across Hungary
  • Build, maintain, and develop strong relationships with key retail partners and distributors in Hungary
  • Negotiate commercial terms, product listings, and promotional activities
  • Develop and implement annual business plans for assigned accounts
  • Analyze sales performance, monitor KPIs, and propose concrete improvement measures
  • Work closely with the marketing team on local campaigns and product launches
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior within the Petfood / FMCG / Breeder segments
  • Provide regular reports and insights to company management

Expectations / Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role (Key Account Manager, Sales Manager)
  • Proven track record in FMCG sales (experience in petfood is a strong advantage)
  • Solid experience in working with major retail chains (e.g., Tesco, Auchan, Spar, Lidl, DM, Rossmann, etc.)
  • Proven expertise in CRM systems and customer segmentation / point-of-sale classification
  • Strong negotiation skills, hands-on mentality, and results-driven mindset
  • Excellent knowledge of the Hungarian market and trade environment
  • Fluent in Hungarian and English (written and spoken)
  • Valid driving licence (Category B) and willingness to travel on a daily basis
