Description
We are seeking a Data Engineer who would like to join EPAM Data Competency Center and grow professionally by participating in a project for a technological giant. Our work involves close collaboration with clients, understanding business needs, providing top-tier engineering experiences, and applying best practices to consistently create high quality deliverables.
This project will give you an opportunity to learn and gain hands-on experience with GCP (Pentaho, Kettle, Data prep), PLX / Data Studio (dashboards), and Big Query.
The additional great point about the project is that it's not only one application but different ones that help to extend the knowledge base quickly, and its a good starting point for getting familiar with the Clients internal stack.

Responsibilities
- Keeping the application up-to-date with all new services and policies being supported, migration to the new services
- Improvement of the existing functionality and approaches
- Supporting the whole data pipeline successful executions : starting from raw data, through structuring data and pushing it to Big Query and PLX dashboards
- Identifying and fixing potential issues with the data source
- Identifying and fixing (or escalating) potential issues with data itself
- Understanding the logic behind queries, with relation to the business cases (and what data is valuable for business to be represented on the dashboard)
- Communicating with key stakeholders and engineering leadership to intake the knowledge for supporting the project
Requirements
2+ years of experience in data engineering areaExperience with creating ETL / ELT solutionsStrong SQL skill : ability to read, modify and create complex queriesGood business analysis skills, ability to interpret, judge data quality, and summarize information accordinglyB2+ English level proficiencyNice to have
