About the Client

Our client is an international and growing Payment Service Provider (PSP) specializing in high-risk verticals, including online gambling. They are expanding their footprint in Asia and seek a skilled Business Development Manager to lead P2P payment initiatives in Japan and Korea.

Role Overview

You will spearhead the development and management of P2P payment solutions in Japan and Korea, overseeing projects from inception to execution. This role requires deep regional expertise, strong project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end setup of P2P payment solutions in Japan and Korea, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Manage relationships with local payment partners, banks, and regulatory bodies.

Conduct market research to identify opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate payment solutions seamlessly.

Monitor and optimize payment processes to enhance efficiency and user experience.

Provide regular reports on project progress and market developments to senior management.

Represent the company at industry events and conferences in the region.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in business development within the payments industry.

At least 1 year of hands-on experience setting up P2P payment solutions in Japan and Korea.

Strong understanding of the regulatory environments in both countries.

Proven track record of successful project management in complex settings.

Fluency in Russian and English; proficiency in Japanese and / or Korean is highly desirable.
