Never a dull day at Siemens Energy! As a Commissioning Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in our Commissioning department at Forchheim Testfield in Germany. Join our HVDC Control Team to implement, test, and verify innovative High Voltage Direct Current systems using lean and agile methods. Your exciting approximately one-year full-time assignment in Germany will lead to another year of focused projects, and this cycle will continue.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Plan and execute tests and the commissioning of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems on time, cost-effectively, and with high quality.
  • Manage an international team of commissioning engineers.
  • Ensure contractual obligations and compliance with legal regulations, including occupational health and safety.
  • Organize system tests on site.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate the progress of work involving suppliers and internal and external partners to ensure a smooth construction site process.
  • Plan and implement technical clarifications with Project Managers and customers.
  • Participate in internal improvement programs (, Lessons Learned).

What You Bring

  • University degree in Electrical engineering, Energy engineering or comparable technical education.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the field of commissioning or commissioning management of large plants ( HVDC plants, power plants, switchgear, power distribution systems).
  • Positive conflict management, decision-making ability, result orientation, motivation and communication skills in international / multicultural teams.
  • Basic knowledge in the field of Project management.
  • English proficiency required; German skills are a plus but not a requirement.
  • Executing energy projects of several months and long-term duration, located outside Poland.
