Job Responsibilities
Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with project manager, hardware, layout, mechanical, lab and software teams to identify and resolve design-related issues throughout development and testingSchematic Design : Develop and maintain electronic schematics using Xpedition DX Designer, based on system requirements and design specificationsPCB Layout Development : Design and actively contribute to the development of complex multi-layer PCB layouts, ensuring compliance with electrical, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturability constraintsTechnical Documentation : Prepare and maintain design documentation in accordance with corporate standards, including BOMs, design reports, and revision historiesDesign Optimization : Analyze and improve existing PCB designs to enhance performance, reliability, testability, and manufacturabilityProcess Improvement : Contribute to the enhancement of design workflows, tool utilization, and overall development efficiencySignal Integrity & EMC Considerations : Apply best practices for signal integrity, power integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) during layout and component placementSimulation & Analysis : Conduct simulations to validate design performanceDesign Reviews : Actively participate in design reviews, providing technical feedback and recommendationsValidation & Testing Support : Define and execute test plans, including functional, environmental, and EMC testingEMC Compliance : Support EMC testing and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal requirementsRoot Cause Analysis : Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues identified during validation, including electrical failures, signal integrity concerns, and EMI-related defectsMentorship : Provide guidance and support to junior engineers through design reviews, knowledge sharing, and best practice recommendationsJob Requirements
Education : Master’s degree in Electronics EngineeringExperience : Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in PCBA design and developmentDesign Tools : Familiarity with eCAD software for schematic and layout design, preferably Xpedition DX DesignerSystem Design Understanding : Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end electronic product development process — from concept, block diagrams and schematic design, through PCB layout and mechanical integration, to validation, manufacturing, and product releaseStandards : Knowledge of IPC standards for PCB design and manufacturingSignal & Power Integrity : Practical understanding of signal integrity and power integrity challenges in PCB design, including impedance control, high-speed layout techniques, decoupling strategies, and simulation-based validationEMC Experience : Practical experience in designing for electromagnetic compatibility, testing and troubleshootingPower Electronics : Strong working knowledge of power electronics design, including hands-on experience with SiC and GaN transistors. Proven ability to design high-efficiency, high-frequency power circuits with optimized thermal performance, switching behavior, and PCB layout for power density and reliabilityProblem Solving : Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical skillsTeamwork : Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with hardware, layout, mechanical, and software engineersContinuous Learning : Willingness to stay up to date with new technologies, tools, and industry trends, with a proactive attitude toward self-development and sharing knowledge within the teamCommunication : Good written and spoken communication skills in EnglishLincoln Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
