Job description

Substance is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dedicated security team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and protecting the organization’s IT infrastructure against emerging threats and vulnerabilities. You will analyze security incidents, evaluate system vulnerabilities, and assist in the development of security measures that ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical information.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents in real-time to identify potential threats.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident reports, response plans, and policies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement security improvements and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats, trends, and best practices in the cybersecurity landscape.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training for employees.
  • Participate in security audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Utilize security tools and technologies to monitor networks and systems for anomalies and breaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in a cybersecurity analyst role with a strong understanding of security concepts and practices.
  • Familiarity with security tools for threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex security issues and formulate effective strategies.
  • Experience with incident response processes and procedures.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate security issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
