Role Overview
Cressoft is hiring for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team of a UK - based health and wellness leader , operating hundreds of retail locations across the UK and Europe , and owning one of the most-used digital commerce platforms in the sector .
This role supports the evolution of scalable, secure, and standardized platform infrastructure. You’ll work on building reusable infrastructure patterns, enabling platform capabilities through automation, and improving developer experience through observability, governance, and reliability engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain reusable infrastructure compositions and platform components across AWS and Kubernetes environments
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — via Terraform , Crossplane , or both
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to support onboarding to platform tools and shared services
- Implement and maintain governance , security controls , and compliance policies across infrastructure
- Deliver and evolve observability frameworks using tools such as Grafana , CloudWatch , OpenTelemetry , and Datadog
- Continuously improve platform tooling and developer experience through documentation, feedback loops, and enablement
- Execute patching, upgrades , and maintenance of platform infrastructure and tools
- Contribute to roadmap discussions , internal standards, and scaling strategies for infrastructure delivery
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
GoLang proficiency — applied in production automation or infrastructure toolingHands-on production experience with Kubernetes (EKS)Proficient in using Helm for Kubernetes application deployment and managementStrong practical knowledge of AWS services (e.g. EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, S3)Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform , Crossplane , or bothExperience with at least two of the following observability tools :CloudWatch, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, GrafanaProven implementation of :AWS IAM policies, Kubernetes, RBAC, Least privilege access control modelsExperience working with developers to integrate platform services and debug cloud-native systemsNice to Have (Desirable)

The daily rate will be around 350 Euro. This will be contracting job and we are looking for full time availability to work during UK working hours. The job is expected to be 5 days a week with a long term commitment spanning over years of work.
