This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, and business strategy.
- Tasks
- Identify high-impact business areas where data science can deliver value.
- Analyze large volumes of structured data to uncover insights and opportunities.
- Apply advanced machine learning techniques including supervised, unsupervised learning, forecasting, and deep learning.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand functional challenges and communicate solutions in business-friendly language.
- Work independently and in collaboration with external vendor teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Contribute to the development of a future internal data science team.
- Performance Metrics : Success in this role will be measured by the business value generated through data science initiatives and solutions.
- Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Experience :
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience
- Programming : Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Platforms & Tools : Experience with Azure (preferred) or other cloud platforms.
- ML Techniques : Strong grasp of supervised / unsupervised learning, forecasting, and deep learning.
- Familiarity with unstructured data processing
- Domain Experience : Preferable experience in one or more of the following domains : Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics.
- Additional Skills :
- Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts such as star schema, ETL / ELT processes.
- Familiarity with data lake or lakehouse architectures.
- Visualization skills including exploratory data analysis (EDA), basic dashboard creation for business reporting, and effective communication of model results and insights.
- Experience with either Python-based visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly) or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Preferred Qualifications :
- Azure Data Science certifications or equivalent certifications in tools like TensorFlow.
- Exposure to MLOps practices and tools.
