How you’ll make an impact

Design, containerize, and deploy data science models and pipelines for automation and / or optimization applications.

Propose and work on ideas and concepts of new approaches to solving optimization or control problems with business impact, turn them into prototypes and verify them before handover for implementation.

Collaborate with a global team of researchers and engineers, both within the Hitachi Energy HVDC Research and Development department, and with other teams across the Hitachi Energy organization to identify and solve real-world challenges.

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of state-of-the-art data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.

Share your knowledge and experience with other team members.

Your background

Master's degree or equivalent industrial experience in Engineering, Sciences, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or any related field.

Experience in applying data science and AI / ML methods to solve practical problems preferably in Azure environments or similar (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Databricks / Py Spark, AKS, Azure Dev Ops).

Experience with training and deploying and managing the lifecycle of Machine Learning algorithms in practical settings (e.g., containerization, CI / CD pipelines, monitoring, and model tracking / versioning).

Experience with API integration.

Good knowledge of Data Science Programming Languages (Python and associated data science libraries).

Willingness to take an interdisciplinary approach, working with experts from different domains, and integrating AI / ML approaches into processes.

Experience demonstrating your ability to work in a team, your creativity, and your motivation for self-development.

Excellent written and spoken communication in English.
