A Snapshot of Your Day

This role reports into the Head of Product Integrity Europe’s function in Compression and is responsible for the resolution of urgent technical issues across the business, including at customer sites. This role demands a high level of technical expertise specifically in the rotating equipment controls area combined with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customer top management.

In this role you have the chance to directly influence and shape the future of decarbonization for our industrial customers and play a key role in the creation of Siemens Energy’s sustainable future.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support the resolution of customer Technical Issues in the Europe region (Europe and Globally), including Root Cause Analysis and resolution of technical non-conformance ( compressor performance) issues.
  • Work with both internal and external for fast issue resolution and appropriate knowledge transfer with the counterparts in other regions.
  • Assume the technical leadership role for assigned projects. Manage the customer interface in a dynamic environment, lead the team from a technical resolution standpoint.
  • Work closely with other technical experts in the other Product Integrity regions.
  • Provide input to the Product Improvement Process to drive resolution of Operational Issues, Technical Issues, and Significant Field Issues.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of electrical / controls engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent
  • Over 8 years of experience in rotating equipment design, controls design, compressor testing, site commissioning, technical troubleshooting, and service-related activities.
  • Experience in leading RCAs and relevant methodologies such as Kepner Tregoe or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English and ability to explain technical details and concepts to customers and non-technical personnel.
  • Proven experience in the design, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support of compressors (including design of oil systems / gas sealing systems).
  • Proven track record and background in the area of equipment controls including Open architecture PLC (AB Contrologix, Tricon, WinCC and SE S7 and Distributed Control Systems, Siemens PCS7 systems and legacy Dresser-Rand Di-Tronics / Envision software)
  • Willing of being able to resolve technical work across a large organization to develop solutions for technical customer issues.
  • Proficient in the use of Office365
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Ability to work and communicate directly with the customer in a high-pressure environment.
