Here’s what we’re looking for

Developing mobile apps is great, but developing mobile apps with a purpose is even better! As a Software Engineer at Roche, you’ll work on a product that helps people with the most precious thing they have — their health. In collaborative teams of developers, designers, product owners, and QA experts, you’ll experience best-in-class software development practices on a daily basis and contribute to software that meets the highest expectations — we do not put our users' lives at risk!

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Android) who will have a significant impact on the software development process and move your entire team forward. Your main contribution will be writing code while acting as a role model for the entire development team. You will apply your experience in architectural and technical decision making, ensuring a high code quality and contribute your technical knowledge as a foundation for strategic product decisions, identifying and driving improvements of the product development process and its infrastructure.

Essential skills for this mission

• You have at least 5 years of experience working as a Software Engineer with good knowledge of Kotlin.
• You have a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical knowledge.
• You are well acquainted with the Android platform and APIs (e.g. Health Connect).
• You have a passion for clean code and solid, future-proof architectures and you have testing in mind while you develop production code.
• You are able and open to learn new technologies and processes.

In Austria, we have a legal obligation to disclose the minimum salary according to our collective agreement, which is gross EUR 3.455 per month for this position. Rest assured, we offer amazing competitive compensation packages which take into consideration current market trends, therefore you can expect a higher offer that reflects your experience level.
