Senior Java Backend Developer

PROJECT

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with solid experience in enterprise-level systems to join a long-term international project in the transport industry.

This role requires deep backend knowledge, cloud expertise (AWS), and strong communication skills for working in multilingual, cross-functional teams. We want to hear from you if you're experienced in Java, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale backend environments.

YOU WILL

• Develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise-level backend applications in Java / JEE (7–12).
• Work with JBOSS , Tomcat , and PostgreSQL in a production-grade environment.
• Design and implement backend systems integrated with Kafka , REST APIs, and microservice architecture.
• Manage applications deployed in AWS using CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and business teams to design scalable, secure, and efficient systems.
• Participate in Agile (e.g., Scrum, SAFe ) processes and take part in Agile rituals.
• Contribute to communication strategies and act as a technical point of contact when needed.

Kogo poszukujemy?

MUST HAVE

Solid experience with Java / JEE (7–12) , JBOSS , and Tomcat.

Proficiency in managing applications in AWS using CloudFormation.

Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.

Experience working with Kafka in production environments.

Background in the transport sector (aviation or railway preferred).

Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, SAFe).

Understanding of microservice architectures.

Practical knowledge of Java REST-API development.

Strong communication skills , ideally in client-facing or consulting roles.

Proficiency in German and English (min. C1 level).
