Role Description
We are currently seeking a Vulnerability Management Engineer to join our team! This role will focus on the Vulnerability Management process and maintaining Vulnerability Management Automation framework to enable our internal stakeholders and customers. This role will help drive key projects and process initiatives focused on creating efficient and scalable solutions to drive the Vulnerability Management program towards operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities
Strong team player with the ability to work with a geographically dispersed team
Focus on work with multiple teams to support vulnerability management process and data interpretation
Develop and manage ongoing process improvements focusing on automation, accuracy, and timeliness of information
Work with multiple data sources including vulnerability and other enterprise data for contextual enrichment to drive actionable outcomes
Focus on researching, developing, and supporting vulnerability data automation and tooling
Identify, root cause, and remediate data quality issues
Also :
Implement, document, and maintain software solutions which may pull data from different REST APIs, perform calculations or data extraction, and store values to databases.
Knowledge in building tools for testing, analysis, and automation issues
Develop and manage ongoing process improvements focusing on automation, accuracy, and timeliness of information
Familiarity with the vulnerability data to support requests for specific metrics
Basic Requirements
Specific Knowledge and Skills
Solid understanding of Vulnerability Management and Software Development lifecycles
Experience with Vulnerability Scanners, configuration and automation
Experience in Ability to clearly explain and justify security issues
Comfortable with working with multiple teams
Comfortable with working with remote team members
Strong background in software development and modern programming languages (Java, C#, Python, Node.JS) to explain security issues with code
Experience in application development to explain security flaws and impact on the product
Working knowledge of CI / CD workflows / pipelines
Background in software development to develop and maintain automation (Python or similar)
Experience in working with API technologies
Skills in building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata dependency
Background
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
3 - 5 years experience in a relevant field.
