Cyber Security Engineer on-site in Oman

Job descriptionExperience in Cyber Security roles for 4+ years. Experience developing and enforcing security policies and standards. Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM). Familiarity with data protection practices, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and encryption technologies. Experience conducting security awareness training and managing vendor security audits. Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and Application Security practices (SAST / DAST). Familiarity with banking-specific threats, including fraud prevention. Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above. Proficiency in securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent. Experience in teamwork with leaders in FinTech, Healthcare, Retail, Telecom, and others. Summary
The IT company Andersen invites a Cyber Security Engineer to join its team for working with a company from Oman.
This position requires on-site in the Muscat office, but we are also open to considering candidates from other countries for relocation.
The customer is a pioneering financial institution in the Sultanate of Oman. It aims to support the housing and construction sectors, contributing to the country's economic development. The bank focuses on achieving shareholder objectives and developing human capital through efficient banking operations and a motivating work environment. It actively supports Omani citizens by offering subsidized financing and reducing waiting list delays.
The project is to support the governance, strategic planning, and operational alignment of the Super App and broader housing ecosystem.
The project assumes a Sunday through Thursday work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Establishing escalation protocols for issue resolution.
- Defining operational readiness checklists for each project phase.
- Developing security policies for the Super App ecosystem.
- Aligning governance structures with regulatory requirements and compliance needs.
- Conducting stakeholder workshops and aligning workflows with compliance standards.
