Senior Analytics Engineer

responsibilities :

Build reports using tools such as Tableau and SSRS for analytical purposes that go above and beyond requested requirements

Understand how to effectively tune queries and create complex data sources. Has a deep understanding and skillset needed to implement data integration & transformation tools

Provide Support and Training to Business Stakeholders on Reporting Tools & Visualizations & acts as a mentor to the team

Operate with an investigative mindset to identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

Understand how to source data from application databases and use ETL tools to make available for data presentation

Troubleshoot and pinpoint root causes for discrepancies to work towards data accuracy and consistency & escalate issues when necessary

Assist with ad-hoc data requests for business stakeholders

Translate Stakeholder requests into actionable tasks

Clearly and concisely communicate complex topics, tools or concepts to stakeholders with limited visibility or experience on the topic

Independently leads multi-resource projects with no oversight. Delegates effectively and provides critical feedback to both collaborators and stakeholders using a mix of business knowledge and technical expertise

Collaborate with team members on Tasks – Clarify / Define Business Requirements

Responsible for the overall design of projects and creates high level planning and execution for themselves and for the rest of collaborators, ultimately holding themselves & teammates accountable

Demonstrates an understanding of the Coyote business & Logistics / Transportation Industry across teams and geographies

Exercises strong work ethic, accountability, initiative, and a strategic mindset

requirements-expected :

5+ Years Experience in a Modern Data Team Role

Very strong English skills (work with stakeholders across Europe)

Proven experience with Data Modeling and designing data sources for reporting needs

Experience managing projects requiring collaboration from cross-functional teams

Proven ability to leverage SQL & Python to generate compelling visualizations and deliver data to stakeholders

Ability to Create complex ETL pipelines

Proven analytical & problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of software engineering best practices and their application

Excellent organizational & time management skills with strong attention to detail

Highly independent and motivated with the ability to work in a team environment as well
