Job description

We are seeking an experienced  Enterprise Architect  to support a major SAP implementation programme currently in the  Explore phase . This implementation is set to replace critical legacy systems managing  product, pricing, and promotion functions  (currently RMS-based) with SAP. The role focuses on driving a deep understanding of  end-to-end architectural impact  across  business processes, applications, data, and infrastructure —particularly within the  supply chain and pricing domains .

  • Proven experience as an  Enterprise Architect  in large-scale SAP transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of  retail business processes , especially in  supply chain, pricing, and promotion management .
  • Experience in  legacy-to-SAP migrations  (preferably from RMS).
  • Familiarity with non-SAP systems such as  Blue Yonder  and how they integrate into the wider architecture.
  • Ability to assess and communicate  functional, data, and infrastructure impacts  across systems.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Comfortable producing clear, consumable  architecture documentation  for diverse audiences.

Nice to Have :

  • Experience with UK-based retailers or knowledge of the  Sainsbury architecture and terminology .
  • Previous collaboration with  Accenture on SAP programs.

    Lead the architecture impact assessment for transitioning from legacy systems to SAP across key functional areas (e.g., supply chain, EPOS, website)., Understand and document end-to-end impacts on business processes and supporting systems., Work closely with cross-functional teams (business, IT, and external partners) to bring architecture implications to life and ensure alignment in transition planning., Analyze and communicate the impact of changes to pricing, locations, and supply chain operations, particularly where non-SAP systems (e.g., Blue Yonder) are involved., Provide clear, accessible architecture documentation tailored for stakeholder understanding, including business-friendly deliverables for client teams (e.g., Sainsbury-friendly format)., Collaborate with Accenture and client teams during the Explore and Design phases to ensure architectural alignment., Focus on business process transformation, identifying transitions required and evaluating interdependencies with existing systems.] Requirements : SAP
