We are looking for an experienced
Strategic Sourcing Specialist
who will take ownership of sourcing activities for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) needs in a modern biorefinery located in Germany. You will play a key role in coordinating with internal teams, managing supplier relationships, and driving sourcing excellence in a complex industrial environment.
What You Will Do
- Manage sourcing for typical MRO categories such as mechanical services, scaffolding, cleaning, insulation, crane work, pipe materials, gaskets, spare parts, and plant equipment
- Act as a key coordination point with the maintenance team, ensuring smooth alignment between operational and sourcing priorities
- Ocassioanly travel to Germany for internal coordination, bidder meetings, and supplier interactions during preparation, execution, and follow-up phases
- Plan, manage, and execute sourcing events (RFI, RFQ)
- Provide expertise and guidance to stakeholders, influencing decisions in complex sourcing projects
- Develop and execute competitive sourcing strategies and tactics to secure best value and reliability
- Lead contract creation, negotiation, and management, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations
- Proactively identify opportunities to reduce spend and optimize the supplier base
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Use SAP Ariba to manage and enhance sourcing event execution
- Ensure efficient and effective Source-to-Contract process implementation in daily operations
Who You Are
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in industrial engineering, technical business administration, or another relevant disciplineYou have at least 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, ideally within the chemical or related process industry like MRO areaYou are fluent inGerman and English

You have hands-on experience working with German suppliers, contracts, and the German marketExperience withSAP S / 4HANA
