Construction Supplier & Resource Management

Offshore Planning & External Resource Management is an established function within the Construction Supplier & External Management Department at Vestas Northern and Central Europe (NCE). The team is responsible for planning and coordinating site personnel and technicians for offshore construction projects, as well as supporting related back-office functions. They ensure the supply of subcontractor technicians and supervisors for the Pre-installation, Installation, and Commissioning phases of offshore projects. Additionally, they manage supplier relationships with a strategic focus on performance, development, and long-term strategic alignment.

Responsibilities

Manage offshore construction suppliers and support strategy development in collaboration with Global Procurement
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure high-quality service and performance
Plan and coordinate resource needs across offshore projects, including forecasting and demand planning
Support supplier readiness and alignment by working closely with internal teams and installation partners
Manage supplier performance reviews and facilitate continuous improvement across projects
Support procurement, resolve supplier issues, and manage escalations effectively
Provide consolidated resource demand forecasts and align supplier capacity accordingly

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Minimum 7 years of experience in offshore construction, supplier management, or resource planning in the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors

Demonstrated leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and supplier relationships

Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken

Deep understanding of offshore construction processes and supplier dynamics

Project management skills would be valuable

Proficient communication, stakeholder management and negotiations skills

Ability to professionally navigate changes

Advanced analytical and forecasting capabilities, effective prioritization, and decision-making skills when faced with difficulties

Ability to lead performance improvement initiatives and manage complex supplier challenges

Curiosity, proactiveness and effective problem-solving skills

Highly motivated, action-oriented, committed towards accomplishing tasks and reaching targets
