The number of our Pega Cloud SaaS and PaaS customers is rapidly growing. We are looking for individuals who will help us to drive this growth by building highly scalable cutting-edge Cloud Services. As part of this team, you will be one of the leaders working at the nexus of the infrastructure behind Pega Cloud. You will be part of the Infrastructure Tribe, working on cloud deployments running on AWS and GCP as well as Kubernetes, Istio, and storage products. Contributing to a variety of technologies, vendors, architectures, implementation, and support.

In this role, you’ll help us lead a team that will design, develop, implement, test, deploy, and operate the components and services that power Pega Cloud services. Our Pega Cloud team is distributed globally with three major technology centers in the US, in the EU and in India.

What You'll Do at Pega :

  • Provide strategic leadership to engineering teams while effectively managing up and collaborating with senior stakeholders and executive leadership to secure organizational support and alignment.
  • Develop, inspire, mentor, and evaluate the engineering team by providing technical training plans, career growth guidance, and continuous feedback.
  • Enable the teams to deliver functionality by collaborating with multiple stakeholders including cross functional teams, architects, product owners, scrum masters , while demonstrating deep understanding of matrixed organizational dynamics.
  • Ensure that the delivered work meets functional and technical requirements, and quality standards.
  • Identifying the need for training and talent development.
  • Review designs and code and provide meaningful feedback, and the detail orientation to follow-up on all technical topics.
  • Provide clear, concise, and persuasive communication to engineering teams and stakeholders, articulating complex technical concepts while maintaining high internal visibility for the organization.
  • Facilitate innovation to drive towards engineering excellence while advocating for technical excellence and strong software engineering best practices.

Who You Are :

You are a natural, persuasive communicator with exceptional command of English, capable of articulating complex ideas and wielding significant organizational influence. You possess a balanced leadership style that combines drive and results-orientation with strong interpersonal influence. You excel at managing up and navigating complex organizational structures while maintaining a deep commitment to mission success. You are a technical generalist who understands how various technologies integrate rather than specializing in a single area.

What You've Accomplished :

  • 7 – 10 years of software development experience, preferably in a product development company, with 2+ years as a technical lead or manager.
  • High proficiency across a wide range of technical domains including programming, networking, operations, Kubernetes, cloud technologies, etc., with broad understanding of technology integration.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design, with knowledge of Go, Java or similar languages.
  • Experience in Development and Deployment using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), with understanding of DevOps automation, pipeline tools, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Agile / Scrum development methodology knowledge / experience.
  • Track record of dedication, flexibility, and proactivity to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Very good command of English.
  • It will be great, but not required if you have :

  • Knowledge of Cloud Operations best practices.
  • Understanding of Microservices and Stateless Architecture.
  • Experience writing Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
  • Exposure to Microservices lifecycle management, multi-tenant infrastructure, multi-cloud, or Cloud migration.
  • Experience partnering with internal clients & product managers to align implementation with business goals & outcomes.
