Systems engineering is a cross‑functional discipline focused on designing, creating, and optimizing systems that meet both business and customer needs. This role is responsible for departmental operations planning and execution within the technical discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement product safety engineering methodologies and techniques for equipment and devices; conduct safety risk assessments, hazard evaluations, and utilize human‑factor principles to improve design.
  • Lead people management responsibilities, including staffing, performance development, and mentoring.
  • Apply best practices and understand how this area integrates with others; stay aware of competition and industry differentiation.
  • Use judgment to propose solutions outside standard parameters for complex manufacturing processes, leveraging internal and external resources.
  • Provide technical support as a resource for less experienced colleagues; lead small low‑risk projects and facilitate consensus on field topics.

Ideal Candidate

Experience in human factors, operational / field experience in an airline repair facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Proven experience in systems engineering.
  • Desired Qualifications
