Job descriptionLeading a team of engineers to enhance Alfa Systems, the flagship product of Alfa Financial Software Working closely with distributed teams across the UK, Europe, and North America Lead a team of 5-7 engineers to design, develop and maintain new features for our flagship product - Alfa Systems Mentor and guide engineers in the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning to develop the team’s delivery capability Lead by example, setting high standards for code quality and work ethic, contributing hands on to delivery Collaborate with the product owner, architects and other stakeholders to translate client’s business requirements into robust, incremental value-adding deliverables Facilitate regular team meetings and retrospectives to set clear goals for the team and challenge the team to take the best next steps Foster team ownership over individual contributions Ensure excellent communication between the team and stakeholders Instill company values and culture among team members, fostering connections with existing engineering hubs in London and Lisbon Grow the great ideas you and your team come up with Create a positive impact on colleagues, clients, and the communities the organization touches Proven experience leading a software engineering team in an Agile environment Strong Java development experience and ability to contribute hands-on Natural leadership skills — able to inspire, empower, and guide a team Comfortable working closely with product owners, architects, and stakeholders A business-oriented mindset — you see the big picture behind the code Fluent in English (B2+) Passionate about fostering an inclusive, feedback-driven culture Chance to build something new with the support of a trusted global brand Full onboarding and career support Work in a hybrid model close to teams in the UK, Europe, and North America Quarterly company events in EMEA (travel required 4x / year – London, Europe, etc.) Career development opportunities private medical care life insurance corporate gym retirement pension plan extra leave business travel insurance
