This is a hybrid Sysadmin & DevOps role (with focus on DevOps) that supports our client's both internal and public-facing infrastructure. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes deployments, automation pipelines, and some traditional system administration tasks. You’ll be the go-to person for managing deployments, upgrading and securing VMs, handling certificate renewals, and supporting a mix of cloud-native and legacy systems.
Responsibilities
Manage and upgrade Kubernetes clusters on Azure (AKS ) — deploy and maintain internal and public-facing applications, including Kafka.
Automate deployment workflows using GitHub Actions and other CI / CD tools.
Perform classical system administration tasks on Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows VMs, including :
OS updates (periodic patching, security hardening)
Rightsizing and optimizing resource usage (turning off unused VMs, scaling Kubernetes pods)
Managing certificates for authentication and secure communication.
Support monitoring and alerting platforms (Datadog) , assist with migrating additional systems onto Datadog.
Assist with updating GeoServer-based applications — this is a nice-to-have
Collaborate with multiple developer teams who currently manage their own deployments and infrastructure.
You might be the perfect match if you possess the following competencies :
7+ years of commercial experience in a DevOps role ; some system administration experience or willingness to take on sysadmin responsibilities is a strong plus
Solid experience with Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) in production environments
Hands-on experience building and managing CI / CD pipelines , preferably with GitHub Actions / workflows
Familiarity with Kafka, Debezium , or similar event streaming platforms
Prior exposure to Datadog monitoring and alerting platform
Comfortable managing cloud infrastructure in Azure , including VMs, networking, security hardening, and rightsizing resources
Ability to perform both automation tasks and manual system interventions as needed
Basic scripting / automation skills with Bash , PowerShell , or similar languages
Excellent communication skills in English
Location within Poland or other EU countries
Nice to have :
Strong Linux sysadmin experience (Ubuntu preferred)
Exposure to GeoServer or other geospatial software (not mandatory)
Experience managing Windows servers , including IIS and certificate renewals
