About the role

As a Search Systems Architect, you are a critical individual contributor and architectural leader within our engineering organization. You drive the long-term technical vision of our platform, guiding how we design, build, and evolve scalable, reliable systems across multiple squads. As a high-impact, high-autonomy technical leader, you combine deep technical contributions with influential cross-team collaboration, helping shape the future of our platform to better serve our customers.

You are the expert in Search. We have an existing search platform built on OpenSearch / ElasticSearch and MySQL infrastructure that allows our Pros to search for critical information across our platform. We are looking for someone with significant experience operating in the context of elasticsearch in scaled environments. Ideally the candidate will also be familiar with modern AI based conversational search and generative LLM capabilities that enhance search frameworks.

You act as a strategic technical leader and advisor to Engineering Managers, Directors, and Product stakeholders, driving alignment on complex search challenges and architectural direction. You take ownership of our most technically demanding search initiatives while mentoring engineers across teams. A key part of your role is accelerating our transformation from a primarily DB driven search framework to a modern, scaled search platform.

Compensation : 11, ,500 USD per month (B2B)
