As a Buyer, you will play a proactive role in managing supply chain risks and identifying areas for improvement. The buyer maintains regular communication with suppliers to ensure adequate procurement of goods and materials, while actively identifying and managing potential risks and bottlenecks in the supply chain. The Buyer works with Supply Planners, Production Schedulers, Sourcing Customer Service, Incoming Inspection, and Accounts Payable teams.
What you will do
- Maintain master data in transactional systems (e.g., supplier lead time, lot size, purchasing group).
- Communicate forecast requirements to suppliers based on production and supply planning inputs.
- Place and confirm purchase orders in line with procurement policies.
- Act as the primary contact for suppliers regarding current supply needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support initiatives and improve business processes.
- Represent the purchasing function in internal and cross-functional meetings.
- Manage supplier deliveries by monitoring back orders and safety stock levels.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies in partnership with the Accounts Payable team.
What you need : Required :
Degree level in Business / Engineering / Supply Chain managementProficient in written and spoken German and English.Minimum of 3 years' experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Manufacturing.Experience with ERP systems ie SAP, Oracle, JDEPreferred :
Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint & Word.Previous experience in supplier relationship managementTravel Percentage : 10%
