Location : Warsaw

Hybrid model : 3 days from office per week

ABOUT DEPARTMENT

Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting Department supports Management Reporting & Planning of Manufacturing P&L with all its components : Operating Performance income, Cost of Production and Manpower & OPEX, Financial Adjustments – Manufacturing Variances and Inventory Accounting. The area of team experience covers small modules manufacturing sites across EMEA Region, large modules biomanufacturing sites (in Europe and beyond) as well as other entities embedded in Global Supply Chain such as Global External Sourcing, Toll and EMEA Distribution Centers. Department is still growing and taking part of Global projects. Our team members have wide experience in analysis and chance to grow in the future.

ABOUT TEAM

You will be part of a newly created Team within the Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting Department that will oversee Controlling & Compliance. The team will be responsible for ensuring healthy Balance Sheet position of Manufacturing & Inventory accounts, compliance with balance sheet reconciliation policies and conducting financial controls.

Your core deliverables will include :

Business As Usual & Month End Closing

  • Preparation and review of month end closing reports related to balance sheet accounts
  • Month End Closing coordination with all stakeholders; Ensuring the completeness of activities and that all deadlines are met
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation process – reviewing reconciliations prepared by the Back Office Team, coordination of the process of explanation / supporting of clearing of balance sheet open items with all stakeholders
  • Advising stakeholders on Balance Sheet related policies and good practices related to balance sheet postings

Compliance & Controls

  • Financial Control Process (both SOX and non-SOX) – gaining understanding of the processes and conducting financial controls checks including : gathering documentation prepared by the Manufacturing and Inventory Accounting Department, checking data completeness and compliance with policies, and properly documenting corresponding results
  • Coordinate data collection and manage queries with internal & external auditors and local stakeholders
  • Work closely with internal Compliance Team on controls description, risk mitigation and potential improvements
  • Stakeholder’s management

  • Close cooperation with multiple stakeholders from different parts of the organization : Financial Controllers, CFO, Compliance Team, Manufacturing Hub, Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting Department, Special Matter Experts, Back Office Team, Commercial Controlling
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in respective area of responsibilities advising stakeholders on balance sheet and controls related queries
  • Regular meetings with stakeholders aimed at gaining knowledge of underlying business processes and expected changes

  • Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    Essential for the role :

  • University Degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economy
  • At least 2 years of experience in Finance (R2R / Accounting / Controlling / Compliance)
  • English language proficiency is a must (both verbal and written)
  • Good PC skills including Excel skills
  • Experience of accounting & / or controlling activities including : month-end close, reconciliations & variance analysis, financial controls
  • Desirable for the role

  • Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams
  • Experience in manufacturing accounting
  • Audit experience
  • Knowledge of SAP
