Role Summary
As a Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining our hybrid infrastructure - a mix of AWS-based cloud workloads and on-prem systems. You'll help us scale our platform with Kubernetes (EKS), automate environments, improve security and observability, and support product engineering with robust tooling and deployment workflows.
This is a hybrid role - part-remote, part-on-site (Warsaw area). You'll join a team of 2 engineers, working closely with developer teams and the CTO.
What You’ll Be Working On
Build and maintain infrastructure across AWS (EKS, EC2, RDS, Aurora, Redis, CloudFront) and Proxmox VE / Backup .
Support containerized workloads using Docker , orchestrated via Kubernetes (EKS) with Helm and Karpenter for scaling.
Manage IaC pipelines with Terraform and Ansible for consistent environment provisioning.
Optimize app serving stack : nginx / passenger , HAProxy , Varnish , Cloudflare , and Let's Encrypt integrations.
Enhance platform observability using Prometheus, Grafana, AlertManager , and centralized logging via Elastic, Wazuh , and Netdata .
Support internal tooling : secrets with Vault , secure access via Boundary , and GitLab-based CI / CD.
Build and maintain internal developer platform (self-hosted Gitlab) , CI runners, CI pipelines and deployment automation
Enable zero-downtime deployments for monolithic Rails and Inertia.js applications.

3+ years in Platform, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
Strong Linux fundamentals (Debian / Alpine).
Production-grade experience with AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, Cloud networking (VPC)).
Proficiency with Terraform , Ansible , and GitLab CI / CD .
Experience operating Kubernetes , ideally EKS , with Helm and Karpenter .
Solid understanding of containers and service orchestration .
Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
Collaborative mindset, autonomy in hybrid / remote work, and strong problem-solving skills.

Experience with Proxmox VE , custom hardware deployments, or hybrid cloud / on-prem setups.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL RDS Proxy , Aurora , or ElastiCache Redis .
Familiarity with Vault , Boundary , or other HashiCorp tooling.
Experience optimizing high-traffic web stacks (Rails / Nodejs) or performance-tuning Nginx / Passenger / Varnish.
Awareness of infrastructure security, SSL / TLS, and zero trust principles.
Interest in future MLOps work (e.g., GPUs, ML infra) is a bonus.
How We Work
We’re a small team , with high trust and shared ownership.
You’ll work across the stack - from cloud architecture to deployment tooling.
Our infra is built for scale, reliability and cost-efficiency , but we avoid unnecessary complexity.
We value clarity, async communication, thoughtful automation and learning skills.
Work Model
Location : Hybrid (remote + on-site in Warsaw)
