Application Solution Engineer

The Division

The Group Digital Capabilities (GDC) division ensures Euroclear’s competitiveness by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets.

Our teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients and we ensure the applicative production support of those solution.

The Tribe

The Straight-Through-Processing tribe contributes to the division strategy in delivering and supporting through Agile practices cost-effective time-to-market solutions for the domain of STP communication flows (transactional flows, information flows, reporting, CRM).

We are looking for an  Application Solution Engineer  to join the STP “Use the Product” Squad.

In the UTP context, the Application Design Analyst is a point of entry for the initiatives across the Organization that impact the STP Communication layer – meaning, most of them! In close collaboration with the Business Analyst and the Feature Delivery Owner, he / she assesses the impact of those initiatives on the STP Suite, and either define the configuration changes necessary for the STP suite to cater for new flows / services, or will contribute to the definition of the solution for the upgrade of the STP suite, to be delivered by the relevant Asset teams in the STP Domain.

The role requires a large set of competencies & the ability to leverage them to contribute in parallel to multiple initiatives that each follow their own timelines and constraints, in order to swiftly deliver IT solutions that meet the business need.

The Application Solution Engineer :

• Gathers information, assists in the analysis of business and technical needs, identifies application and systems requirements, and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and / or enhancements to current systems,
• Translates business and technical requirements into detailed function specifications
• Participates to estimation process, providing detailed budget and workload estimates for new application development activities
• Identifies required configuration changes for the STP assets and may implement them
• Validates the outcome of the coding and testing tasks, working within a team
• Supports the testing teams (problem analysis and bug fixing) during the testing phases of projects.
• Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and / or alternatives
