We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer!

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be a part of Bayer's Customer Engagement Team. You will work on improving our 'System and Data Integration Capabilities'.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Design scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on the AWS cloud platform.
Design infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, containerization, and orchestration using tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Design and implement a concept for cross-team collaboration using Backstage .
Guide development of CI / CD pipelines using Github Actions to enable seamless deployment of applications and services
Guide Implementation of automated testing and continuous integration processes to ensure code quality and reliability
Design monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to understand their needs and provide DevOps support
Advocate for and implement DevOps best practices within the organization
Ensure infrastructure and application security by implementing best practices and compliance standards using Hashicorp Vault and Microsoft Entra ID

WHO YOU ARE :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field

7+ years experience as a DevOps engineer.

Excellent experience with Composable Architecture principles, especially on an API first strategy.

Excellent proficiency with the AWS cloud platform with focus on infrastructure as code using Hashicorp Terraform.

Basic knowledge in Backstage Configurations & Operations.

Excellent knowledge in automation with CI / CD pipelines using Github Actions.

Good knowledge in Kubernetes development and operations with focus on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service.

Good knowledge in security concept with focus on operations of Hashicorp Vault and using OpenID Connect using Microsoft Entra ID for authentication and authorization.

Good knowledge in designing and operating streaming data integration using technologies like Kafka and AWS Kinesis

Good knowledge in orchestrating AWS cloud services using AWS Step Functions, AWS Simple Queue Service and Apache Airflow

Basic experience cloud monitoring solutions like AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus or OpenTelemetry
