Job Description

  • Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Implementation safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and internal requirements, including AECOM Safety for Life Program,
  • Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Providing training and education to employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Investigation accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop SHE Plans for offices, and field projects.
  • Monitor and analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Coordinate and participate in safety committee meetings to address safety concerns and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies for hazardous tasks and processes.
  • Recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures and operating equipment to minimize hazards.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging safety technologies to ensure continuous improvement in safety programs.
  • Provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and promote a positive Safety Culture
  • Maintaining Safety and Environmental Management Systems according to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

Qualifications

  • Very good knowledge of English and Polish
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an independent SH&E role within an international environment including min 1 year experience on construction sites.
  • Strong and up-to-date knowledge of Polish health and safety regulations, with the ability to translate them into practical business solutions.
  • Ability to lead and conduct training sessions.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safety protocols.
  • Effective communication, presentation, organizational and documentation skills.
  • Additional Information

  • Internal Auditor of Safety and Environment Management systems (ISO 14001 and  ISO 45001) will be a plus
  • Fire inspector qualification will be a plus
