about-project :

  • As an Evergreen Engineer, you will lead the evergreening strategy for the Windows Client “Modern Workplace,” ensuring a secure, compliant, and up-to-date environment for 70,000+ E.ON employees.
  • You’ll manage the patching and update lifecycle for Windows OS, apps, and drivers — maintaining security and user experience.
  • Using your expertise in Power Automate and Power BI, you will automate update processes, deliver data-driven insights, and ensure stakeholder transparency.
  • Collaboration with internal teams and external providers will be key to continuously improving the process in line with business and IT needs.

responsibilities :

  • Steer the evergreening strategy for the Windows Client environment, including patches, feature updates, driver and application lifecycle management.
  • Design and optimize update and release processes to ensure minimal user disruption while maximizing compliance and security.
  • Automate workflows using Power Automate, reducing manual effort and improving operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI, providing real-time insights into update compliance, rollout progress, and client health.
  • Monitor update deployments and proactively manage exceptions and failures across the client landscape.
  • Collaborate with Endpoint Management teams, internal stakeholders, and external providers to coordinate update cycles and resolve issues.
  • Analyze Microsoft release cycles and evaluate new Windows features for integration into the environment.
  • Ensure alignment with IT security, architecture, and operational requirements.
  • requirements-expected :

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in Windows client update and patch management in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows servicing models (e.g. SAC, Feature and Quality Updates) and update orchestration tools (Intune).
  • Advanced skills in Power Automate for process automation and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of client lifecycle management, driver maintenance, and application compatibility.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Polish (German optional) with the ability to engage across teams and organizational levels.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for process optimization and service reliability.
  • This role is essential for delivering a secure, automated, and insight-driven evergreen Windows experience, enabling E.ON’s workforce to stay productive, secure, and future-ready.
