Your responsibilities
- Actively seeks potential new clients for the hotel through competition checks, Hotelligence, direct referrals, IHG or other lead discovery activities.
- Ensuring all strategic activities related to clients and segments are implemented as on a timely manner.
- Sales to new, existing and potential customers, taking into account the goals set out in the sales strategy, negotiating optimal rates for the benefit of the hotel.
- Proactively promotes to clients IHG programs including IHG rewards, Business Edge etc
- Provides training to other field sales colleagues as needed on RFPS, Lanyon usage, account management activities, contracting.
- Supports cluster DOS and DOSM in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, the hotel marketing plan and business plan.
- Manages personally assigned key accounts across assigned industries.
- Manages assigned key requests for whether for repeat clients, long term stays or VIP clients.
- Supports reactive sales team if needed for proposals, RFPs, contracts, follow ups, etc..
- Supports HIW special projects as required
- Creates strong, professional, long lasting relationships with the assigned contacts in the account portfolio.
- Proactively introduces the hotel within the assigned portfolio to all new prospect clients.
- Develops a profile in the local market through participation in local events and networking activities in representation of the hotel.
- Builds good working relationships with IHG personnel including other hotels in the region, Global KADs and Northern Europe Commercial team members.
- Constructs professional relationships with all colleagues in commercial teams and on property operations teams.
Our requirements
As Sales Manager - Holiday Inn Warsaw City Center, the primary goal is to achieve the assigned targets for Room Revenue, Room Nights and Average Rate from the account portfolio for the assigned hotels while proactively driving other revenue opportunities including Food and Beverage, Meeting rooms and ancillary revenues.
The success of this position will be measured according to the results of the assigned markets and therefore it is crucial for the sales manager to manage its own time to ensure its efforts with the objective of maximising the success of the commercial activities.
