CORE RESPONSIBILITY
- Primary liaison between Global Supply Chain manufacturing sites and their associated Technical Control Labs. Interact with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, IT, and Marketing.
- Provides local leadership to Plant Managers and Plant Quality Managers in developing, implementing, and improving systems and processes to continually improve Plant quality results.
- Provides leadership and support of plans and actions to Opportunity Costs at a site level
- Supports investigations and continuous improvement efforts related to finished goods consistency, performance and customer expectations.
- Maintain courteous and prompt written and verbal communication with Technical and Manufacturing at the local, regional, and divisional levels.
- Support the resolution of manufacturing, quality, and technical issues using Continuous Improvement tools, including Six Sigma and Accelerated Root Cause (ARC).
- Review and approve new formulas and major reformulations to ensure successful commercialization.
- Coordinate new product test batch and pipeline scheduling and execution.
- Support the consolidation of slow-moving, low volume or obsolete raw material and finished goods.
- Manage projects to improve Industrial Plant quality metrics including DPTO, Distressed Batch Rate, Out-of-Spec Approvals, and Off-Formula Adds.
- Provide leadership to implement quality related IT systems for supported Manufacturing Plants and Division.
- Lead key manufacturing quality programs like Opportunity Rex and the New Formula Introduction (NFI) process.
- Provide on-site training and support to manufacturing site quality departments.
- Participate in the implementation of IT systems and applications.
- Co-lead product transfers in collaboration with Quality Excellence Leader of the BU sites and support the integration of acquisition sites.
MAJOR TASKS PERFORMED
Lead local manufacturing quality improvement efforts, working closely with Plant Managers, Plant Quality Managers, and Global Supply Chain Group Quality.Work closely with Plant quality teams to ensure new processes and procedures are implemented to improve quality systems, new products are produced to quality expectations, and to continuously improve quality results.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
