Java Software Developer

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Java Developer that is curious and open minded when it comes to technology. You’ll be working on a microservices architecture responsible for the Sportsbook Betslip, Cashout and Build Your Odds for William Hill's UK, Spanish and Italian websites.

What you will be doing

• Translating functional and non-functional requirements into working software with your team
• Working closely with the team to analyse, debug and resolve any defects
• A commitment to monitoring and observability, trying to find performance issues or bottlenecks in advance
• Ensuring technical debt is managed effectively (avoid creating it & remove it whenever there's opportunity)
• Communicate clearly with everyone, translating non-technical and technical requirements appropriately to stakeholders
• Understanding timelines and dependencies, coordinating with teams around you
• Taking responsibility for product delivery and your contributions to it
