About the role
The Global Market Conduct Surveillance Execution team based in Wroclaw is seeking an FX / PM Market Conduct Surveillance Analyst to investigate potential market abuses and support surveillance framework improvement.
Responsibilities
- Investigate cases of potential market abuse across automated alerting systems (e.g., NASDAQ Trade Surveillance) for Forex and Precious Metals.
- Perform ad‑hoc deep‑dive reviews of activity in response to regulator / exchange queries, using internal systems and external resources.
- Drive continuous improvement of the surveillance framework, including design and operational effectiveness evaluations and control recalibration.
- Contribute to strategic department projects, including global and regional initiatives.
- Participate in implementation activities, including testing and integration.
- Assist in the production of effective management information reports for Senior Management.
Qualifications
University degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.3+ years of relevant experience in banking / financial institution compliance / control environment.Experience with Market Abuse Trade Surveillance using solutions such as SMARTS (NASDAQ Trade Surveillance), ACTIMIZE, and / or first‑line controls framework reviews.Sound understanding of regulatory environment relating to market abuse (MiFID II, MAR, FINMA).Strong analytical and communication skills.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Willingness to learn and develop expertise in market conduct surveillance and regulatory requirements.About UBS
