The Digital Engineering Team creates and maintains web experiences that enable our customers, partners, and employees to build, learn, and engage with Pega. Our digital ecosystem — which includes Pega GenAI Blueprint™, Socrates, Pega Academy, and our developer community — serves audiences and offices across the globe. Our engineers work from North America, Europe, and APAC to provide sunrise-to-sunrise development and 24 / 7 uptime and security. The team partners closely with stakeholders across the organization — Pega Cloud, product engineering, marketing, human resources, finance, and more — to constantly enhance and scale the applications we build and the services we provide.

What You'll Do at Pega :

Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js, Express, and other server-side technologies.

  • Collaborate with front-end architects and developers to integrate user interfaces with server-side logic.
  • Collaborate with backend developers, database engineers, and external providers to orchestrate microservices and build middleware solutions.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs.
  • Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of applications.
  • Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and achieve project goals.
  • Learn and evangelize emerging technologies and industry trends.

Who You Are :

  • Good leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Deep experience with Node.js, Express, and asynchronous programming.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex systems.
  • Expertise in database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Proficiency with Git, CI / CD pipelines, and related DevOps tools and best practices.
  • Experience working on Agile scrum teams and participating in Agile activities.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies (React, HTML, CSS).
  • Experience or interest in enterprise content management systems, especially Drupal.
  • Experience or interest in cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud vendors like AWS, GCS, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience or interest in generative AI, large language models, and autonomous agents.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Lifelong learner who is always excited about new technologies.

    • What You've Accomplished :

  • 7+ years of experience developing and architecting large-scale web applications.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Node.js and other server-side web technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
